We are holding our first junior solo piping competition at The King Robert Hotel on Saturday 7th March 2025. There are 12 and Under chanter and Under 18 piping events.

Rules -
Competitors in the U18 events must be the age of 17 or under on the date of the contest.
Competitors who have previously competed in a senior adult event are not eligible to enter.
Competitors in the U18 events can stop and tune after their March, as it will be judged separately from the Strathspey and Reel.
The U18 March, the U18 Strathspey and Reel are own choice, four part minimum.
The U18 Jig, competitors will submit two tunes and one will be chosen by the judges, four part minimum.
The U18 Piobaireachd will be limited to twenty competitors. The U18 light music will be limited to twenty-five competitors.
Competitors in the 12 and under chanter must be at the age of 12 or under on the date of the contest.
We rely on the honesty of competitors, parents and tutors when entering this event. If the individual has progressed to bagpipes, please do not enter them for this event.
12 and Under March should be 1 x 2 parted march with repeated parts.
